I Graduated

16 Mar

So here it comes my lovelies.. the day I waited for so long: My Viva 🙂

The Viva itself is not a big of a deal. It just means finalizing one remaining detail before qualifying you to master your major. But before this really happen, you have to show lots of responsibility and efforts.

In my case, I study what I’m passionately interested in; English Literature. I wanted to master it so bad and I had to wait and work so hard till it really happened. so much tears, sweat, and literally blood all the way. It was a battle if I could say so.

I can sum up the most important incidents in points:

– My Viva was held on the 12th of March 2012, at 12 P.m. I was lucky enough to have a distinguished cute Viva date.
– The examiners committee made of three. Supervisor+ two examiners: arab and non-arab. One of them simply understands the discussion as an act of “attack.” Poor him!
– I knew too late that servants and coordinators are not allowed in the discussion area. So I said they were my home-maids (LOOOLZ). They let them in after signing many papers.
– I’m so quite person and don’t like the hustle bustle of parties. I invited very, very limited number of people and by that I mean one person 🙂
– I had an awesome treat that day. Sum1 is in charge of the whole set up till the break down of the Viva. Another 2 help me wearing my 3abaya, taking photos of me, wait 4 me out of restroom, passing by every few minutes to make sure I’m all ok and having fun and that was all for less than 1000 SR.
– To be honest I had a storm of ideas that day about other equally important stuff. They happened, in the best way, at the worst timing.
– I felt like a butterfly after it’s all said and done. I went home and played this:

-It was a hectic week thinking of many things at once. My Viva was my last concern. Eventually, everything was in tact alhamdulla.
– The next day I went there to finalize my graduation paper, there was a b5oor smell everywhere. It was the Farewell party of Dr. Hayfa and welcoming of my supervisor.
– A new side of me revealed that day. I used to believe I’m pretty much shy person, but by the end of that day I was literally hugging everyone.

That day marked a turning point in my life. What’s yours??

Much love and pancakes; Zaina
